Dr. Young was born and raised in Idaho. He and his wife Kaye have been married for 22 years and have 5 children. Since moving to the northwest in 1991 he enjoys activities that include: hiking, cross country skiing, winter camping with the scouts, swimming, tennis and golf.

Dr. Young completed his dental degree at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1989. Upon completion of his dental training, he and his family moved to Yakima, Washington to spend 2 years working for the Public Health Service. After visiting several Oregon communities they chose Salem to be their permanent home in 1991. Salem has been a great choice and they have enjoyed the people of Oregon.

Dr. Young specializes in the diagnosis of TMJ, which includes soreness in the jaw and joint, wear on the teeth and muscle discomfort.
